My Journey to Interfaith Ministry
In coming to crossroads I'd been faced with, and in having the courage to battle and fight for my failing marriage (an experience that has helped both my husband and I to grow and learn from, and find a greater love), I spent a great deal of time evaluating my spirituality and the need to define it's place in my life. And after a long and wonderful talk with my Pastor, I was reminded that I have Spirituality, Religion and Faith held dear in my heart. It was with his affirmation that I am an Ambassador of Christ, that I found a desire to share my faith and spirituality as a Non-Denominational Minister.
As a Reverend I am ordained to perform Weddings and Civil Unions. I will meet with anyone looking to plan a religious or non-secular ceremony and incorporate their own personal faith, creating a unique and beautiful celebration in the manner that they desire.
In this day and age I find that there are many people out there that are unable to marry in their own church or the church of their choice, either because of divorce or sexual preference, their desire to marry off-site where their own priest will not come to them, or separation from their houses of worship for periods of time where they have lost pastoral affiliation. Some just have no church or religious affiliation at all, but want a religious officiant. This is one of the biggest reasons I have chosen to become a Minister. Everyone needs to have the opportunity to have a beautiful ceremony or service to always be remembered.
HERE IS A DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES I PROVIDE:
WEDDINGS - Religious or non-religious, long or short ceremony, each celebration can be uniquely designed to incorporate your faith or beliefs, or just accent the union itself without any religious overtones. I will perform the ceremony of your choice in your location of choice. If your wedding is to take place over 50 miles away from Beachwood, NJ, please note that an extra fee will be incorporated to cover traveling expenses.
CIVIL UNIONS - As of February 19, 2007, same-sex couples can legally be joined in a civil union in the State of NJ. I will perform your ceremony, much in the same manner as I have mentioned in the weddings above, provided you have met all requirements mandated by the state, and as I would with any other couple. I'll happily sit down with you and your partner to create a one-of-kind ceremony to celebrate your union, and make it a day you will always cherish.
LAY MINISTRY - One of the main reasons I chose the path of Ministry was to visit, bless and pray for the sick. I will gladly visit your loved one and Anoint them with blessed Oil or Holy Water, and pray with them bedside. My visits, however, are limited to the Ocean/ Lower Monmouth County area. Special consideration will be given outside that area on a need-be basis. Please don't hesitate to ask.
For now my Ministry services are at a minimum, as I move forward into furthering my education doing God's work. My plans are to pursue an Associate of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Church Ministry. However, if there is a service that I can assist you with that is not listed here, please let me know.
